It should show your bluetooth device as two things, a headset and a headphone. Make sure the Rift S mic is enabled in the Oculus app.

For me the microphone shows in Windows but it stays at a constant volume no matter what. I'll give that a try also. When you plug the hear phones in the quest (With an integrated mic) You will have no problem.

I have Same Issue Please find issue the oculus link is only 1 day old and broke beta. Finally a factory reset fixed it. You may also want to check Discord settings, it should be on Default Input Device to use your Windows Microphone. Which leads me to believe it's not the headset's mic that is broken but some software maybe? It's not from your setup.

Is discord set to automatically determine input sensitivity? I would not have thought that Left = More. Mic works fine in Windows (speech recognition).

When the Link cable is plugged in and you have a pair of earphones in, the PC will NOT recognize the oculus mic.

I tried calling a friend on Discord and he could hear all the ingame sounds of my game clearly, but not me.

I have this problem to, I can see the mic working in windows but if I go into Oculus or Steam vr, As soon as I open either one, VD Audio passthrough option deselects in the app (quest) settings, if you try to re-enable it will deselect again, I'm not sure why this keeps happening. It is set as Default. Worked randomly in party mode, recroom etc. Just tested firmware v13 on the quest with v14 software and the microphone is still not working..... SMH.

Oculus deactivated the quests microphone in LINK.

When i wanted to switch back to my regular Headset i had to change all the settings back and restart the computer again. It broke for me right after oculus updated. For people having issues wtih this and their pc did you try going into your microphone setting in your pc and enabling the oculus quest microphone. Also it's bizzare that there is no microphone settings in the Oculus Home menu which would've helped to at least test the microphone.

Same with Bigscreen - mic just does not work when I am using the Quest with the link cable (not the official one) connected to my PC. can someone explain, also whenever I try to use the mic that is built in the quest headset it does not work and will only work after I restart the oculus. It might not be picking up anything if the RIFT Mic is originally low. It should then work.
