The ASUS VG279QM is much better than the ASUS VG279Q. I've bought this screen on April 4th 2018, and up until now, it was working juste fine. Fully transferable. Update 08/17/2020: We incorrectly listed this monitor to not have built-in speakers, when in fact it does. Gamma runs with a tight range of values, which helps keep contrast solid but the calibrated average of 2.06 (6.36% deviation) is lighter than it should be.

Excellent gradient handling, but some banding is noticeable. This is provided for reference only and shouldn't be used, as the calibration values vary per individual unit even for the same model, due to manufacturing tolerances. The corners of the screen are a bit darker than the center (this is known as vignetting), but the center of the screen is extremely uniform. This monitor can easily overcome glare in a bright room. It's pretty easy to use, but not quite as good as pure joystick controls. With the light gamma tracking, we expected the VG259QM to show under-saturation in all colors, but only red seems affected.
