astro a10 zelda headset review
$69.99 retail not worth, worth every bit of $ $45ish though. Little bulky but serves the purpose. Having said all that, I gave them 4 stars. Besides this being an Astro product and cool looking because of the Zelda scheme, this is a must because of the connectors that come with this headset. This headset package comes with a high quality cable to connect the Astro A10 headset to the Switch and your phone at the same time. These make the device flexible and absolutely lightweight.
High quality headphones for gaming, highly recommend.
I used it with my phone and had no problems whatsoever, so you can tote your Zelda headset even if you aren’t packing your Switch. But how well do they work as a headset in general and with the console? It comes in a stylish packaging. Today, we’re going to talk about the Astro A10 Gaming Headset for Nintendo Switch, and we actually have the Zelda: Breath of the Wild Edition. Zelda-inspired aesthetic is well done. The earpieces are big enough to go around your entire ear, though the lack of flexibility in the upper area of the headset made the earpieces difficult to angle on my head. I use these on the PS4 connected directly to the controller. No USB or extra power necessary (no batteries!). Astro’s been in the gaming headset space for a very long, putting out some of the most popular headsets on the market. The treble and bass are outstanding, nobody has complained about the mic, and these appear to be very durable (a flexible yet sturdy rubber material). These headphones are amazing since my son is a gamer he says these headphones are good, Astro Gaming - A10 Wired Stereo Gaming Headset - Legend Of Zelda.
Headband pressure is about 4.5N while it comes an over-ear piece – an aspect that is often wanted by a lot of users, especially gamers. Once I found a different splitter, PC gaming was completely serviceable as well. I have always had my eyes on these due to the Zelda design but never bought them due to price.
The splitter cable itself is a little under two feet long, so everything needs to be relatively close. For its microphone, it has a 6.0-millimeter uni-directional mic with a DC impedance of 32 ohms. Review … In music, the increased mids means sibilant and fricative vocal sounds will likely come through very loudly, while sounds in the high range, like some string instruments and cymbals, may not sound as distinct.
The headset isn’t very heavy though, so it doesn’t make your neck tired after using it for too long.
We've reviewed the A-10's before, and they're a pretty good headset that Astro should be proud of because it's a quality pair for cheap. It looks like a Hylian relic, as it looks like something from Zelda rather than something that’s based on Zelda. I tried to purchase a warranty and they do not offer one but for the price, we are happy! Sounds awesome for me through a variety of games for the Switch, PS4, and computer.
Of course, you’ll also find the device itself.
The Astro A10 is pretty reasonably priced, comfortable, and it covers the bases a gaming headset should.
The Astro A10 Breath of the Wild Headset looks fantastic and sounds quite nice. Astro A10 Review: A Great, Cheap Gaming Headset The Astro A10 is an impressive budget gaming headset that offers solid audio and a slick design … ¡Compra online hoy mismo!
Most of the time this won’t be an issue in the home, as there are typically fewer sources of competing noise. It's pretty decent audio.
Side note: I use the Turtle Beach Stealth 450 wireless headset when the Switch is docked. One important thing to note, make sure you plug the cable in all the way into the headset or the audio will cut in and out. The memory foam ear cushions provide additional comfort to your ears so you won’t have to be concerned about pain and fatigue. The Daily LITG, 10th March 2019 – Unauthorised Prequels? I quickly ended my search once I tried these. See all details for ASTRO Gaming The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild A10 Headset... © 1996-2020, Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. MonsterVine was supplied with a headset for review Last week I reviewed Astro’s A40 TR Gaming headset, which, while quite pricey, was incredibly comfortable and visually appealing. This headset contends with Nintendo's arcane chat setup, and the results are anything but magical. Looks cool, but uncomfortable and broken sound quality. The cheap headset he used before didn’t always work. If you don’t need to use the mic, like when playing Zelda or Pokemon, plugging the headset in without the splitter works just fine. The splitter is here for the PC use, even though they specifically designed this set to match up with a Nintendo Switch.
Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2020. My only concern is with the cable, because it seems thick enough, but seems like it could break over time if not treated with care. It also looks amazing. DC Comics - A New Look For Vixen In 2021? It's kind of a weird combination to cater to a console that doesn't have the primary function for a gaming headset, but we're guessing Astro preferred to use a model they already had rather than make a specific one that was just headphones.
Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2020, Firstly, this headset is one of the weirdest I've ever had to use.
Yes. The main reason we bought these A10 headphones was because of its design; we’re big fans of The Legend of Zelda and we’re glad that it delivered more than just a great design. They also look cool. When you pull the headband up, you will see more of the Sheikah symbols. While it isn’t the most comfortable headset of Astro’s, it still gets the job done and serves as a sleek collector’s item for Zelda fans.
I use them for my xbox one as well and they work perfect with existing mix-amp.
If your phone has a headphone jack that supports a TRRS connection, the Astro A10's microphone should work just fine.
The volume dial on the headset is a welcome feature that I use a lot.
Turns out one of the headphones don't even WORK. Let’s take a look at the Legend of Zelda A10 Headset from Astro.
The replacement had the same issue.
The headset itself is durable, has a nice touch, and when worn, it is completely comfortable. Somewhat expected for this price range.
Astro went out of their way to make sure that this was something a Zelda fan needed in their life.
The Astro A10 isn’t an awful gaming headset, but it’s just bad enough at what seems like the things it focuses on that buying seems like an exercise in frustration. As a result, the headset feels a bit tight even on its biggest setting. Prime members enjoy FREE Delivery and exclusive access to music, movies, TV shows, original audio series, and Kindle books. One of the best looking headsets we ever saw from Astro Gaming was The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild A10 gaming headset. It delivered more than what’s expected; plus, it even outperformed the other brands that cost higher. Sound and comfort are excellent; mic is crystal clear.
To be clear about this headset, if the design and theme didn't already give it away, these were specifically designed to work with the Nintendo Switch.
I would pick these up in a heartbeat around 30 dollars. It is also strong yet lightweight which allows for durability and comfort. It turns out I was better off just purchasing a new A10 rather than a used one, and you'd be better off too. It’s worth noting that some of this isn’t strictly the headset’s fault. Highly Reccommend these vs spending 3x the amount on something that performs the same.
However, I had one very disappointed 8 year old when we found out the microphone only works when connected to a smartphone (he has a switch), and even with the volume all the way up, you can barely hear. Astro A10 Zelda Breath of the Wild Review Astro is known as a professional brand that has been developing gaming headsets for more than ten years.
It requires a good amount more force to plug it in than most other headsets. Lots of uses for the price and quality.
